How many times have you invited a friend to yoga class and heard “yoga’s just not for me. I mean, I’m definitely not chanting ‘om'”? Or maybe you’ve been hearing about the benefits of mindful meditation but are stuck on the idea that it’s too “woo woo” or crunchy granola for you?
Well TO Do is thrilled to announce the launch of the Toronto Wellness Project, an initiative to break the stigma associated with some of our favorite wellness trends and practices, through a series of edgy, fun, and always unexpected events. We can’t reveal all of our secrets just yet, but expect out-of-the-box yoga classes (nama-surprises?), speaker series, fitness classes and more.
But first up, we’re so excited to invite you to our inaugural Toronto Wellness Project event, Zen Things I Hate About You.
Nominally inspired by one of the great movies of our youth, Zen Things I Hate About You aims to make wellness practices (think meditation, yoga, intention-setting, elixirs, etc) accessible to even the most cynical among us. The event takes place Sunday, June 4 from 2pm-4pm at The Extension Room (30 Eastern Avenue).
We’ll open with an opportunity to visit with and sample products from top wellness brands. Then we’ll unroll our mats for a mindfulness meditation led by Dhani Oks of UN//TY, and a hip hop yoga class with Rachelle Wintzen of Chi Junky.
We are so excited to embark on this journey to give our community a peek behind the curtain of our favorite wellness practices and we hope you will join us!
This event is capped at just 80 people so we encourage you to book your spot early! Early Bird tickets are $45 and we’ve capped the total number available at that rate at 30 people. Tickets are $55 thereafter. Book your spot here!
We can’t wait to see you there! We are so excited for the Toronto Wellness Project!
