Back in December, ClassPass released its wrap up on when, where, and how our friends in the U.S. got their sweat on in 2017. Which got us wondering: what were the Toronto fitness trends of 2017? So in anticipation of the release of our 2018 Wellness Trends, we hit up our friends at the sweat service to find out how we worked out last year.
The Most Popular Type of Workout in Toronto:
Strong is the new skinny? Tell us something we don’t know! Topping the list of Toronto’s fitness trends of 2017 is our go-to workout on ClassPass: strength training holding court with 38% of all reservations made through the app. With 2017 newcomers like CORE and One Academy joining the service, plus favourites like Myodetox and Strive Life holding strong, we had a ton of options for getting seriously swole this year. Fun fact: We share this trend with the U.S. where they also picked the badass workout as their class of choice!
Your second favourite workout of choice through ClassPass? Yoga, with 15% of all reservations on the app.
The Most Popular Day to Workout:
Weekend warriors? Not in the 6ix! Like our U.S. counterparts, ClassPass Toronto reported that our most popular day to workout in 2017 was Tuesday. Hey, nobody loves Mondays right?
